This is the only gasoline powered car we have. It’s a Volvo 142 from 1971.
It hasn’t been rebuilt to diesel yet but it sure will be 🙂 It looked like this (as on the picture to the left) when we bought it. Packo has spend quite much time even on this car welding. There is no rust on this one either now.
We were about to sell the car but changed our minds because of a person who came to look at it when it was for sale. We both thought that he was stupid and decided not to sell the car. I (Jessica) have always wanted to have a Volvo 140 cab…. and Packo decided to build one for me!! 🙂 Isn’t that kind of him! 🙂
Into the garage again. Time to weld some strengthening girders. The picture above is taken into the trunk. On the picture below you can see the strengthen by the doors, which you still can open.
After this Packo took out all the windows besides the front window.
Time to cut of the roof! 🙂
Taaaddaaammmm!!!!!!
A cab!! 🙂
So far so good. Now he had to fix all the ”holes” into the girders.
Here he has welded the holes that appeared when the roof ”flew off”. 🙂
The car is now ready but unfortunately we don’t have any better photo than this.
